Following previous successful outings, Professional Liverpool is hosting another golf day, on Wednesday 13 June 2018 at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, the venue of the 2014 Open Championship. Built in 1869, on what was then the racecourse of the Liverpool Hunt Club, Hoylake is the oldest of all the English seaside courses with the exception of Westward Ho! in Devon.
The event will take the format of a Stableford 4 ball competition with three-quarters handicap. The best 2 scores will count towards the team score and prizes will be awarded to the teams finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. There will also be a couple of nearest the pin prizes. Your options are to enter a team of 4 or if you are 3, 2 or 1 we will find you suitable playing partners.
As long as a minimum of 18 teams enter, the club has agreed to a shotgun start at 10am so you will need to be there in good time to ensure you are at your starting tee when the cannon goes off. The beauty of a shotgun start is that all teams will finish at approximately the same time so after showering, changing, drinking, eating and prize giving you will be away whilst it is still light unless you linger at the bar afterwards!
Sponsorship opportunities are available for all of the prizes, so if you would like to support the event in this way, please contact us for further details. As we are a “not for profit organisation” such support would be very welcome.
The cost for the day, inclusive of bacon sandwich, golf, dinner and prizes, is £175 plus VAT per person.
Additional dinner tickets for non-golfers can be purchased for £50 plus vat per person. Payment is due at the time of booking.
